Dublin
Dublin is one of the most promising 3 year old race horses in the world. Having been trained by D. Wayne Lukas, the most decorated horse trainer alive today, he looks to have a good chance of making a statement in the horse racing world.
Dublin comes from a line of impressive race horses and is the offspring of Afleet Alex. Afleet Alex won two of the three Triple Crown races and was the leading the horse race betting odds for quite sometimes and almost captured a third. Dublin has a good chance of surpassing his sire because he has the proper breeding, connections, and training.
In only his second year, Dublin rallied to win the Hopeful Stakes in Saratoga. It was only his third start and he showed some legitimate potential. After this race he went on to lose in both the Champagne and the Iroquois Stakes and seemed to lose his ability to rally.
A closer investigation showed that Dublin had a breathing problem. After thorough surgeries, however, Dublin seems to be in the best shape of his career and is looking to make a splash this year on the track.
D. Wayne Lukas has won a total of four Kentucky Derbies and also boasts a record of 13 Triple Crown wins on his career. Lukas has expressed a lot of confidence in Dublin and has made the statement that he wouldn’t trade Dublin for any other house out there. Only time will tell if Dublin can live up to the hype and make a place for himself among other horsing greats such as Charismatic, Thunder Gulch, Grindstone, and Winning Colors.
